Cleaning Shells
Never use detergents or cleaning fluids on your seashells. Like wise do not use abrasive materials. To bring out the vibrant natural colors of sea shells just wipe them off with a thin coat of mineral oil. This will bring a dull shell back to life.
Keep your shells out of sunlight. Light will cause the shells to lose their color. If you go to a museum you will find they keep their shell collections in light proof cabinets. You don't need to go that far, just avoid direct sunlight.
